If I order something and don’t like it what can I do?

You can return it to us for full refund within 7 working days of receipt, subject to certain conditions, please see our full returns policy for these.

Why is a product, which is advertised out of stock?

We are very sorry if an item you would like to order is sold out or is delayed. We always try and make sure that as much of our range as possible is available to you at any given time. Having good stock availability not only means happier customers but also more sales too. Our experienced purchasing team try to predict the exact quantity of each item to buy, however, we do occasionally get it wrong with some items selling far better than we expect. Fortunately many of our suppliers are UK based and delivery times are extremely short so generally most delays will be minimised.

How long does it take to process my return or exchange?

We always try and process returns and exchanges as quickly as possible, although it can take up to ten days when we are very busy. 

Are you secure?

Yes, all payments to Young’s Boat Yard through our website are encrypted with SAGE PAY (formerly PROTX) secure technology.

Returns Policy

The Purchaser has a statutory right to cancel their order and receive a full refund on any mail order purchase with the exception of Special Orders. To cancel the Purchaser must send the original or copy invoice along with full written reasons for the return, such written reasons and invoice to be received by the Company within 7 working days of the Purchaser receiving the said Goods.

The return of Goods will be permitted in only limited circumstances if the Goods are received in their original packaging, labelling, complete with any accessories, manuals or other documentation and undamaged. (Original invoice will be returned to Purchaser in the event of more than one item being sold on it). Goods must be returned to the Company in a condition, which would be acceptable to our supplier for return.

Outboard engines correctly supplied incur a handling charge of 20% if returned.

In common with industry practice, we cannot accept returns of videos, DVDs, CDs, or software packages unless all original packaging is intact and un-opened.

Special Offers

Delivery of orders (such as Mercury Outboards or Honda outboards) placed during a "boat show offer", such as The London International Boat Show and the Southampton International Boat Show, will be delivered the week commencing the end of the show.

Postage and packing (Mainland UK)

  • Standard 5 - 7 working day delivery £6.99
  • Please ring for postage costs for Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland and overseas.
  • Deliveries outside of the UK to Europe are sent on an economy-road service and you should allow approx 14 days
