The rulemate consists of a powerful Rule bilge pump and a new non-mercury float switch in a single housing. While fully automated the pump will only turn on when the water level rises. There is no cycling and no battery drain. The pump remains off until the internal float switch rises. The pump then stays on until the water is evacuated.

The Ultima Combo combines the line of cartridge bilge pumps with automatic operation. The duo is equipped with the new Ultima switch. The Johnson L550 automatic bilge pump utilises a "field effect" electronic water sensing switch, has a rugged ABD fuel resistant housing and is supplied with both straight and 90 degree smooth elbow discharge ports. An optional back-flow check valve is also included.
